John's notoriety as an Australian Artist owes much to his depictions of nostalgic scenes of Australia around the eras of 1930 to 1960. Conferring rural and country town themes, old country store, fuel stations and garage scenes, John's work shows the life of a much simpler time, that we all look back to with fond memories.
John has and his nostalgic paintings reproduced by card and calendar companies, both in Australia and by American also delight in the nostalgia of John's work.
