A collection of new Australian wildlife images inspired by the bush, the farm and the Australian outback, all direct from the brushes of the "Outback Mongrel" John Rigby.

From his new studio/gallery at Springbrook, Queensland, in the rainforest ranges, just a little outback of the Gold Coast, John is currently producing his "Nature of Australia"series. Paintings inspired by his travels throughout Australia and in particularly the areas of the beautiful Numinbah valley that are right at John's backdoor. John says, the valley is rich with subject and scenery equal to anywhere in this country.Come up and visit John at his studio, by appointment, just forty kilometers from the Gold Coast. Tropiscape

I was in the middle of reading Micheners "Carribean" when I got the compulsion to paint a scene of that tropical paradise. Tropiscape is my composite of things Carribean and tropical.
Three individual paintings that make up the "Tropiscape" triptych. Each individual scene is recreated in a size of 600 x 490 either in canvas or fine art paper edition. Each image can be purchased individually or in the series of three that form the full "Tropiscape" triptych, with an image size of 600 x 1.900 inclusive of a 50mm white canvas strip between image.
